Hey did anybody see Madonna's Documentary on MTV Friday night? I love Madonna - but I thought she was a little corny and sappy in some parts of it. She definitely has changed since her other documentary - Truth or Dare.
I caught a bit of it this weekend, and I was like "what the hell is this?" It would show her with her posse and everything, but then it would break into all these depressing images and werid pictures of her face with her spattering these "deep thoughts". The whole time I was like, what is this, she's just a friggin singer, not some spiritual guru!!! Very strange.
Also I caught some of the Truth or Dare tour the other day on some other channel and she was all hard core with this tough jersey accent, and now she is so "english". How funny to try to get a "new accent" half way through your life. I should try that. From now on....I'm australian mate!!!
I think it was called "I'll Tell You a Secret." I tivo'ed it and watched it last night. I liked most of it, but luckily I also got to fast forward through the bizarre opening and the part of her show with the strange military reference. Some thoughts:
It's easy to preach being non-materialistic when you have everything material you could possibly want - and by that I really mean financial security.
Lola sounds JUST LIKE Madonna. Her voice is so similar, it's creepy. And she looks just like Frida Khalo. They need to do something about the unibrow.
Rocco is the most adorable child ever. He is so cute!
I love having insight into other people's relationships, like Madonna and Guy. The scene at the bar when he was hanging out with his buds and she was asleep on the bench was priceless. It seems like he doesn't put up with any diva-ness.
I saw it, but had to change it after like 1 1/2 hrs. How long was that anyway? I just couldnt handle the accent anymore and those DAMN POEMS. All poems dont have to rhyme Madonna. My version of her poems..........
I have a chair
Over there
I use it to sit
Damn, I'm fit.
Her dancers were awesome though, and her kids are adorable.
