I want to be a Shakespeare Prof. at U of M. I want to write and publish books about literature.

Me too. I would love to be a literature professor (part time.. hee hee). If I ever win the lottery, I am going to read and write novels, all day, every day, even if they don't ever get published.

Well my ideal job as a speech language pathologist is with a contract firm that will give me awesome benefits, great pay, and lots of work with infants and preschool kids.

I want to be a wife and a mother.  I'd love to have a cabin in the mountains.  I want to learn to make letterpress cards and stationery and sell it to boutiques.  I want to have a friend/relative who owns one such boutique so I could help and be involved without having any business responsibility.

I want to be more organized overall and more confident in my intelligence and judgement (particularly in the school/career realm).

I want to live simply.  I want nice things in my life, but I don't want a lot of them.  I want to be generous with my money, time, and gifts.

That is an absolutely beautiful thing to say!

I'm late to this but oh well, I'll give it a go.

If money were no object (god how I hate that phrase), I'd paint in a studio every day. And I'd walk around the neighborhood and get inspired by little things. I'd take pictures of them and go home and paint them. And I'd take time off to travel. I'd collect all the beautiful images from while I was in the foreign places and then I'd come home and paint all of those. What a wonderful world this could be!

Oh and maybe I'd decorate spaces. I love helping people go to vintage/thrift stores and finding unique ways to incorporate their favorite piece of stained glass or the chair their grandmother gave them (or whatever). But I'd only do it for people that had a piece or thing to begin with. I don't believe in blank canvases.

And I suppose if I wanted to incorporate something more professional, I'd like to work for a non-profit doing work that actually mattered to someone. Maybe teach an after school program? Or provide tenant legal counseling to low-income clients.

Maybe I'd make soundtracks for movies if we're talking any and all possibilities. I'm a sucker for soundtracks and I think the right song can do just about anything for a scene. My job would be to listen to music all day and then wrack my collection/memories for a song that would fit in that moment. How cool would that be!

My BF did this for about a year, working at a production company and being actively involved in the soundtracks for all the movies. It's fun, but there's such a huge bureaucracy and he was always compalining about how the old fuddy duddy marketing higher ups were in his way. I'm still considering working in this area myself, since I dabbled in it as well three years ago and really enjoyed it.

If money really were no object, I would open a small day care and have a group of about 5-6 kids at the most to watch while their parents worked. I would take them everywhere, like the zoo and the museum and the mall, and play with them. I love being silly and encouraging children, but I don't want any of my own. Or I would go to grad school for children's media and work at a place like Sesame Workshop. I also would like to design a line of graphic tees. Anything that involves travel would also be fun.

If money were no object, I wouldn't be anything at all .  I would travel the world and go shopping and have parties and do whatever my little heart desired.  No working for me, no siree!

I would be David Sedaris. But straight and a woman. I want to write the books he writes, the low key fame, the money, and the freedom that comes with an author's lifestyle.

Or be a journalist for National Geographic. Or Magnet or Harp or some other music magazine.

I would also love to be a college professor. I actually think I'd be horrible at it, but I feel like it's a position I really respect. Maybe I'll just marry one.
