I didn't even see the questions in this thread until now!  I lived in Little Rock (Went to UCA for College).  I took a consulting job and they relocated me to New York since that was cheaper then flying me to clients every week from Arkansas.  I love Arkansas but jumped at the chance to move to a new city with someone else footing the bill plus I enjoy New York.  I am homesick now but I have plenty of shopping to cheer me up!

I started using Halah as a screen name and my name WAY back when I first started to get on the internet and everyone had "screen names" in chat rooms and stuff.  I took it from the Mazzy Star song but I know there are a lot of other meanings.

Welcome! This is a great board and I think you'll love it. I live in Brooklyn, but am moving into Manhattan next month. I know this can be an overwhelming city to move to. When I got here 5 years ago I was afraid to use the subway, for instance. But that will pass and soon you will be a city girl!
