They are doing really well. We're still working on some socialization issues, but other than that, all is well. Yes, I do have a product recommendation! Got this nifty "gulpy" water bottle at TJ's (the "bowl" folds against the bottle when not in use, and it has a clip so you can clip it to yourself during walks):

I just gave them both baths last night -- I'll have to take some pics when I get a chance (they're both currently sleeping, and aren't interested in my imagery attempts!)

We are planning a trip up north during the fall. We thought it would be fun to rent a cottage on Lake Michigan -- the dogs would have a blast on the beach smile We're leaning toward this cottage on the western tip of Leelanau Peninsula (cathead bay):

I'm glad to hear the dogs are doing so well. I can't wait to see pics!

I think a trip with them to a cabin would be so fun. I am sure they would love the lake. You may consider life jackets for them. When my dog gets in the water, she wants to SWIM! And, she is fast... I have to put on fins to catch up with her. We had to buy her a life jacket because we were afraid she'd just keep swimming out to the middle of the lake and get tired. We did figure out she will turn around for a big splash though. Of course this is all at an inland lake up north, not a beach, so it may be different with your pups, but wanted to mention in nonetheless.

The views are so beautiful, it looks truly relaxing.

And, I love taking a dog on vacation. I think they need a change of scenery too. Plus, it is fun to go on walks in new places with them.

That water bottle is cool! When I walk my brother's dog, I'm pretty sure he only ends up getting a few sips out of the bottle. That cabin looks pretty perfect too.
