Okay so we have a older home in a somewhat historic area of our town. It has a very Tuscan contry-ish feel, think skinny oak plank floors. And one of the features I LOVE is this old built-in hutch. I am trying to keep the tuscan feel, the color throughout my home are as follows:
Kitchen- Navy/Cobalt and Sunflower yellow Diningroom - Right now this is very neutral, lots of wood, and the new hutch in the pics Livingroon - Olive-y and Khaki Sofa and Loveseat, Burgundy leather chair, Medium finish Armoire/entertainment center.
What do you think of me painting or wallpapering the back side of the hutch, something with khaki tones?
Here is the hutch. The plates are a mossy green, cinnimon color, light yellow, and then one with a stripe border of all the color and a skinny black line.
What do you think?
I also hope to add a table and chairs similar to these in the near future:
I think painting it khaki or even a soft golden yellow color would look great. That is a really neat built in hutch. I'd love to see pics of the rest of the house, it's sounds pretty. And what a perfect time to be moving, when you're feeling all nesty
Sounds like you have a very warm, pretty house. I think a khaki color would be a great choice for the back of the hutch -- the contrast with your colorful plates will really make them pop!
