my vice is shoes, too--i have an insane number of shoes, some of which i've worn once at the most.
and shopping online is the bad habit i am trying to break myself of. like bastet said, it's so easy to get carried away shopping online because it doesn't seem like you're really doing that much damage. but that damage is so real when my cc statement shows up!! and i have a tendency to keep things that i don't love, that i would never have bought in the first place if i had tried it on in a store and seen how mediocre it looked on me.
Black shirts. Lately I can't seem to stay away from them. I look in my closet and all I own is black and I go to the mall searching for color but low and behold there is the cutest black shirt and I buy it!!!
I'm a sucker for makeup. I make myself stay as far away as I can from sephora otherwise its makeup madness.
-Things in shades of blues and greens, dating all the way back to my kindergarden obsession with sky blue and seafoam green colored pencils...which brings me to:
-Anything sea inspired. Mermaids, coral, shells, I love it all.
-Cute printed tshirts. Thermals or tanks that look like kids' pajamas.
-Metallic shoes. I love my silver and gold shoes. And I can't stop buying them.
-Denim skirts. I wear them all the time so this is justified I guess.

skirts. fun skirts in fun colors that are difficult to match a top with. i think i love skirts because I have disproportionate hips and most pants and jeans look horrible on me. Can't wait for low rise anything to finally DIE and GO AWAY because it just doesn't work on me.
my biggest vice though is buying random pieces that I really think are cool and then realizing that I have NOTHING to wear with them. for some reason i hate spending money on things like shoes (yes, really!), accessories and layering pieces because I feel like the money is better spent on bigger pieces. i need to break myself out of this habit though because those things are what pull an outfit together.
I can't believe I left off my #1 vice!!! How crazy is that?!?! I am the absolute worst when it comes to underwear. I have a hard time passing them up!!
Skirts! I own so many , and I find it hard to find tops to match. Skirts are definitely my number one item, but it's totally crazy because most of them are one type, knee-length or slightly longer, patterned or embellished or made of some kind of luxurous fabric (like silk or velvet). I have no short skirts, no long skirts, and only one plain skirt (which I adore!) Strange situation
Next, necklaces. I buy them and get them as presents and also make them.
Quality shoes on sale. If it's a pretty, well-made shoe and it's on sale I will probably get it - that's how I got all those 3" and 4" shoes that I almost never wear!
i go through phases, but the thing that always seems to get me weak in the knees is shoes.
in the spring i did handbags and makeup, in the late summer/early fall i did hoodies, and right now i am loving sweaters and all things from bluefly.com. i have also had my eye on some jewelry as i have most of my staples, but i could always use fun jewelry to dress up my simple tops and jeans.
oh, and lsubatgirl, i also do the undies/lingerie thing a lot. i always find cute ones at marshalls and tj maxx and i ALWAYS have to match. it's sick.

I am really bad with makeup too. I guess that's probably really up there as my #1 vice because it never feels like you're spending a lot of money... and then you look at all your lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadows, etc... and it adds up!
I have been trying to break this habit lately but I'm a sucker for pretty, shiny, sparkly, new new new!

Seriously! Me too! When did that happen?!
And just so I'm not totally hijacking, my weaknesses are: shoes, hats, cardigans, vintage clutch handbags, scarves, black tops, and gray sweaters.
