Has anyone been on Majesty of the Seas, Royal Caribbean?
Dos/Donts?? Tips? Please help.
I won this cruise through my company.. I have been on a cruise but in high school. The trip was VERY structured then, besides I dont remember much. And my husband is cruise-virgin.
I went on the Royal Caribbean about 3 years ago when I was around 5 months pregnant. it was fun, you can go dancing at night at the club, you can gamble and go swimming too. what would you like to know?
my husband won this trip through the job he was at then too! the drinks were all free, too bad i was pregnant!
I can't vouch for Royal Caribbean, but I've been to Nassau. We liked it okay - lots of jewelry stores within walking distance of the port, as well as a outdoor market, but they sell mostly knockoff bags! The people were very friendly, not pushy like people in some other places/islands can be. We took the water taxi out to paradise island and sat on the beach the whole day. There are vendors on the beach that have umbrellas and chairs for rent, but they're expensive! We negotiated the price for an umbrella and then just sat on our towels. Also it's quite a treck from the water taxi dropoff to the beach, but the water was goreous!
Let me know if you have any more questions!

What all is there to do on the ship? Casino, drink, eat, pool, eat, shop, drink, eat, massage, eat, mini-golf, comedian, parties, eat, karaoke, drink, eat. You get the idea ! I can do a 'day in the life of' if you'd like - we came up with a pretty good routine.
Are their typically lots of children on cruises? Very few in my experience. The ship we went on had an arcade and a kids/teens only pool and there were very few babies/toddlers.
Is the food good? Yes! I always try to loose a few extra pounds before we go so I won't feel bad about eating ALL.THE.TIME. We usually ended up eating 6 times a day! So dead serious.
Is there shopping on the ship? Duty free shops, only open when you're at sea. Ours had things like perfume, makeup, costume jewelry, fine jewelry & stones, watches, purses, some drug-store type stuff.
I hear that the rooms are tiny. Are they uncomfortable? They are small, but totally doable for two people. I always unpack our clothes into the dressers and closets though, it makes it getting ready (especially since you get ready/change your clothes about 6 times a day) much easier.
We also end up using the laundry facilities for a load or two - because you're changing so much it seems like everything gets dirty in the first 2 or 3 days!
