curtains for cheap?
Permalink Closed

i desperately need some new curtains in my living room. i live in a restored victorian, so my windows are almost floor-to-ceiling (which i love!). IKEA has pretty good looooong curtains, but they're kinda plain. (i have some plain white sheer panels from IKEA in my bedroom.) i'm looking for something a little more....detailed i guess? i want them to be sheer enough to let daylight in, but not so thin that people can see inside (i live on the first floor). i also don't want to pay an arm and a leg. i don't even know where to begin to look for this- any suggestions? thanks so much!

Sears or JCPenney might be a start for inexpensive ones.

Truth be told, Walmart does stock some super long curtains...colored sheers I think...and some with detailing. HTH!

Ross, TJMaxx, and Marshalls are also good places to look - pretty good variety and discounts!

Just an FYI if you haven't seen the cheapie IKEA sheers in person, they are very cheap looking IMO.  They are long, but I bought some and they did not look good.  I've seen way better quality in the cheapie sheers at Penneys, Target, etc.
