Hi ladies!

my friends and i are looking into going to acapulco for spring break this year.. I was just wondering if any of you had been there/what it was like, etc.

we would be going at the end of the march and we have been quoted about $1300 for airfare (from ohio), and an all inclusive hotel/food/drinks package... how does this sound?

thanks!

I haven't heard anything good about Acapulco, in fact when I looked into trips to Mexico the travel agent told us that she wouldn't recommend it.  I'm not familiar with airfares from Ohio to Mexico, but here are some other destinations you might want to look into:

Cabo San Lucas (a personal favorite.  I've been here 5 times)

Panama

Florida

Cozumel

Costa Rica

If you want any info on Cabo, let me know.  It's a great, great place.

How many days and nights is the vacation?  It sounds steep to me, but the last time I went to the Caribbean, we paid about $700 for four days/nights in a four0star all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen...that was a few years ago, so I don't know if prices have dramatically risen or not.  The fact that you are going during Spring Break may also play a big part.  What company are you going with?

If you decide to look elsewhere, definately consider Cozumel!  I loved it there--the club scene is there but not as big as in other places, and it is less touristy than other places in Mexico.
