The first time I over drafted my account I called BOA customer service. I explained to them it was my first time over drafting and if they could please take the $31 fee away. They credited my account right away.

Well today, I overdrafted as well. My mom transfered money into my account and BOA took away due to the fee. I called BOA and explained that I didn't know my account didn't have sufficient funds. blah, blah, because sometimes it just doesn't show. Well they credited my $30 back! Yay!

*sigh I love BOA!

Wow, Really?  I've never had that kind of luck, but I must admit, BOFA has provided way better service than Wa. Mutual ever did.

I love BofA! They are great! Have been with them for over 8 years and they still continue to amaze me. They are always crediting back fees.

Yeah - I've had an account w/ BoA for 15 years and I've always gotten great service.

My only complaint is that they've recently started charging a fee for transactions in foreign currency.  It is a PITA for us since we go to Canada a lot and have accounts in Canadian banks too.

They've been pretty good to us but on a bad day (when they are not so good) my husband refers to the them as "skank of america".

i must chime in here... i really despise BofA!!  i was with them for several years and they rarely credited my fees back.  also, they submit withdrawals before deposits so you can overdraft more easily & more often.  since i've switched to a local bank (Union Bank of California, for those who care) i've been much happier!  i thought it would be inconvenient since there aren't as many branches as BofA, but actually there are more... well, not really, but i can use WAMU's ATM's for free since my bank doesn't charge me & neither does WAMU.  That's something i could never do w/ BofA.  I do all my banking online so i rarely have to go to a branch, but since it's a local bank there are several branches in my area.  well, that's all... good luck!

Well part of the reason I'm with BOA is because my mom is supervisor in the vault dept. I barely opened an account with them when I turned 18. All of us(me, mom, dad, bro) have an account with them and we have not had a problem with them.

I've been with BoA for a couple of years, and about 6 months ago, my identity was stolen, and over $500 was taken out of my checking account!  They credited my account within 48 hours with a very minimal amount of hassle.  That's a thumbs-up in my book!
