I have never had one.. But I am quite curious.. This may be TMI for some.. but can you post a review/summary when you're done? (If you dont feel comfortable you can always PM me. LOL some people might not want to know!) I am really interested in getting it done.
Colonics have been found to be extremely bad for you. Unsafe and unhealthy. I've read that they cause electrolyte imbalances, and you lose important essential vitamins. It also messes around with your bowel system that doesn't really need any help. Just my $0.02. Research a bit before you go through with it.
I think you should just post it here - we can handle it and I'm curious too!
ditto. just maybe add a WARNING in the post's title for those people who are queesy (or on their lunch break).

Is this something you drink or something that gets put up the a**? If it's the latter, same as a duche, not effective and more harm than good. Your body naturally cleanses itself (well, the inside anyways!).
You know what's really good for "cleaning you out" and that is organic apple cider vinegar. I take about 4 tsp a day of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. Two swigs in the morning and two at night. It's certainly cheaper than colonics. You can get it at any health food store.
From Bragg's website:
"Research worldwide supports and commends what Hippocrates (the father of medicine) found and treated his patients with in 400 B.C. He discovered that natural, undistilled Apple Cider Vinegar (or ACV)* is a powerful cleansing and healing elixir "a naturally occurring antibiotic and antiseptic that fights germs and bacteria" for a healthier, stronger, longer life!
The versatility of ACV as a powerful body cleansing agent is legendary. It’s been traced to Egyptian urns as far back as 3000 B.C. The Babylonians used it as a condiment and preservative, while Julius Caesar’s army used ACV tonic to stay healthy and fight off disease. The Greeks and Romans kept vinegar vessels for healing and flavoring. It was used in Biblical times as an antiseptic and a healing agent and is mentioned in the Bible. In Paris in the Middle Ages it was sold from barrels by street vendors as a body deodorant, healing tonic and a health vinegar drink."

how does it clean you out? by peeing a lot or by having the runs, or another way? sorry for using the word "runs"
Hey - My mother and sister were taking apple cider vinegar for a while, and it really helped them lose weight. but it also gave them a skin condition, and I believe it leached the calcium from their bones and can cause early onset osteoperosis. I'm not entirely sure about that last part because it was a few years ago, so I might be remembering incorrectly. But I am sure that it turned otu it wasn't good for them to do long term and they had to stop. So please check with a doctor or something if y'all are taking this every day....
I have had a couple done before....and to answer your question, I didn't tip. I view it being like a medical procedure rather than a salon service.
I had mine done because I suffer from major IBS with constipation. If you are just doing it for the heck of it, think about a couple of things first.
One colonic is probably not going to do you that much good. If you are doing it to detox, then you probably need to get a series of them. I would have love to have done this, but I just couldn't afford to shell out the $700 for the series.
Also, your diet needs to be extremely clean. If you are going to detox, then most likely, they will tell you to cut out anything refined and they will put you on an extremely limited diet. I was told to cut out gluten, wheat, sugar, dairy, and several specific foods. Needless to say, I just couldn't do it! If you are eating processed foods, this will negate the whole procedure.
