STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

An old casual friend of mine that was the object of a "mutual crush" just e-mailed me asking about an update on my new job. He then asked if I would be traveling as much and suggested we should rendezvous sometime in the near future.

Now how would you take this? I haven't spoken to him in some time as we were casual friends. Right before he left, we did have a long conversation which basically went "I think your great, I think your great too...blah, blah, blah...why didn't we figure this out sooner and hang out more, etc., etc., then he moved, he started a new job, I started a new job, he started grad school, I traveled to Europe for a month, etc., etc."

Anyway, I'd like to see him, but he lives fairly far away (right now 4 hours, but as of tomorrow, he will live much farther as I am moving to Cali from ATL in approximately 7 hours).

I'm probably obsessing about a simple comment, since I've been going through a dating dry spell and am desperately seeking attention from a normal male (not the obsessive stalker guy that is my cube neighbor--but that's another story), but I don't know how to take this "casual comment" and am wondering how to "casually respond".

Any advice, ladies?
