Easter Dinner
Permalink Closed

I'm going to cook for Easter, and am wondering what to make...  I don't eat land-animal flesh, so I'm thinking of making crab cakes or something seafoody...

I have a pumpkin bisque soup base I bought, and am thinking of making that.

So far menu is:

pumkink soup

crab cakes?

was thinking of boiling some eggs for a doggie easter egg hunt -- maybe I should make some devilled eggs too?

ideas?

this menu looks good! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/the-essence-of-emeril/emerils-gulfcoast-fishhouse-crab-cakes-with-sweet-corn-maque-choux-and-tomato-jam-recipe/index.html

I'm also thinking pineapple upside down cake for dessert...

I'm loving the mini upside down cakes.

What about some asparagus next to the crab cakes? With a wild rice too? I think that would be good with the crabcakes. Which, but the way, I think are perfect for Easter.

asparagus and rice would be good! I do think i have some rice pilaf in the cupboard -- that would definitely make it easier!

I was just going to suggest this too.  I love a simple asparagus with lemon and sea salt.  And the lemon would compliment the crabcakes too.

I was going to make an upside down pineapple cake for our Easter too, but I might have to make the mini ones now.  THey're just so cute!
