I go to whichever store is closest for 2 reasons:

1. I'm a lazy b*tc#

2.  I hate grocery shopping, so I want to get it over with asap.

I usually just try to get Peapod to deliver my food so I don't have to haul my lazy butt and all my kids to the grocery store.  Have you ever tried pushing around 2 babies in a cart???  Not easy.

I pretty much only shop at Whole Foods - it's right next door to my building but that's not the only reason.  Also I am usually too lazy to cook so I get their pre-made stuff or salad bar.  Usually salad bars gross me out and Whole Foods is the only one that doesn't.  Also, b/c I prefer natural, organic, and whole foods in general and am veg., shopping at WF takes a lot of the effort out of it - I pretty much know that I am getting something wholesome.  And I like the wine and cheese selection.

I go there almost every day, no kidding. And when I am at my place in Santa Fe, I go to the Whole Foods there, too (they also have a Wild Oats and a Trader Joe's and of coruse several Albertson's, but I prefer WF).  It's just my ideal grocery store so I see no need to go anywhere else.

Two places: Whole Foods and Harris Teeter

We go to HT once a month and stock up on paper products, staples, etc... then Whole Foods once (or twice!) a week for anything fresh and/or organic - produce, meat, prepared foods.  I hate grocery shopping, but going there inspires me to try new things and actually plan out my meals.  And it's only four blocks away.

My favorite place to grocery shop is our local co-op, Lakewinds. Plus, my son just got a part time job there so I get 15% off when he works. We've been eating mostly organics for many years.

When I need basics like paper goods and canned water I pop into the local Cub Foods, which is the low cost warehouse type store, but it's clean and does have a large organic section.

Occasionally I shop at Byerly's, the fancy grocery that is famous in Minneapolis, they have plenty of overpriced gourmet foods, including great sushi.

I live within 15 miles of six Targets - I'm not kidding - but the closest one is a Supertarget. Once in a while I'll pick up a few food items there if I'm shopping there already.
