Where do you use highlighter?

That particular stick is--I think--meant for rimming your eyes so they look bigger and brighter. Depending on how soft the stick is, and how transparent/opaque the color is, you might be able to dot a little on the inner corners of your eyes and smudge it to create a wider-eyed look. But, if you're already using it to cover dark circles, you probably won't be able to get the effect.

Otherwise, places you can highlight around the eyes include the outside corners of the eyes (using a very light touch), and on the browbone.

Face highlighting (better to use a product like Moon Beam or High Beam) can be done at the top of the cheekbones, a single, well-blended strip down the center of the nose to create a stronger, straighter, thinner-looking nose. I have a skinny face, and to give it some softness, sometimes I'll put a tiny bit of highlighter (I use High Beam) in strategic places on the side of my forehead and jawline. With highlighter, you want to use it sparingly and only in one or two places. Good luck!

I'll use my highlighter on the browbone and the top of my cheeks. Imagine drawing a C from the browbone to the cheek portion under the eyes, but stopping halfway under the eyes. It helps to define my cheeks. I'll also do the inner corners of my eyes to make me look more awake. Sometimes I'll put a dab on my upper lip (the cupid bow part.) I don't think the BrightEye stick is made for either of these though. I never do all of these at once. I think the key to using any highlighter is to use it sparingly and strategically. For me, using it in more than one place is too teenagerish.

Thanks, guys! I've been experimenting, but it's hard because highlighting is so much more subtle than other stuff. I mean, I can tell if my lipstick looks good because it's so obviously there. So I'm still trying to decide how I like it best. I am thinking of getting a different highlighter because like you guys said, I don't think this is the best for all over the face.

Anyway, I have the Benefit Eye Bright stick and I agree--I don't think it's meant to be used all over the face as a highlighter. I generally use it in the inner corners of my eyes and under my eyebrows a little. I honestly feel like I haven't gotten the hang of the stick yet (and I've had it awhile). I feel like it's easy to use too heavy a hand and it ends up looking weird.
