So...my computer died last week. After a couple hours of talking to my dad and then a couple hours of talking to technical support, trying to get it all sorted out, we finally determined that my hard drive was somehow physically damaged. I was practically hysterical...I had thousands of mp3s (which, unlike the last time my computer died, in college, I actually had paid for, rather than, erm, "stolen"), just lots of random files I save on my computer, recipes, random articles on home decor, all my wedding planning stuff, including a huge excel spreadsheet of everyone we invited, their addresses (for invites and thank yous) and the list of gifts we received from whom, etc. AND all the pictures I had taken since I got my new digital camera in May, including my husband's graduation, our move to Atlanta, my friend's wedding, my bridal shower and our *honeymoon* pictures!!! i was flipping out and had no idea what to do.
well, i took my completely inoperational (as in blue screen of death, couldn't even login to windows) laptop to Geek Squad and they recovered EVERYTHING, even my internet explorer favorites! they also told me it would take about 4 days and it only took 1, and they were supernice and understanding (cute too, for "geeks").
Wow, that is so cool. My old computer crashed once and I lost everything so I know how much that sucks. If that ever happens again (cross my fingers), I know who to call!
Pretty sure you are referring to the Best Buy Geek Squad, right????
I know the company has been increasing its labor so that we have a lot of the Geek Squad employees accesible to help out customers, and at the same time avoid having customers to not be waiting for the computers. I am personally very happy to hear you had such a great experience.
