help me decorate our bedroom!

Okay ladies, let's see you work your magic here.

This is our bedroom and I need some help decorating it.  We need a nightstand for my husband, new bedside lamps, and something to go above the bed.  I'm in love with the color of the walls and I like our bedding, so I don't want to change any of that.  I think I just need some accessories to help tie it all together.  Ideas???

Weird...I can see it.  I'll have to try posting it another way when I get home tonight.

Hmmmmm....maybe it's fixed, because I can see it!  I love the color of your walls - so pretty.

Do you have a particular style you like - modern, traditional?  Any husband constraints?  Ex., I dream of having a bedroom decorated in toile, but my husband and I have compromised on a less "girly" style.

Our style is pretty modern/eclectic.  Not too many husband issues, except he wouldn't want anything too girly, obviously.  I'm decent at putting together the basics for a room, but I lack in the skill of accessorizing rooms.  It doesn't really help that our bedroom is pretty much always a mess too.  I think I need to look into some nice looking storage stuff too just for junk.

Have you seen Nate Berkus' new line at LNT?  Looks like it might work in your room.

That's pretty, but I don't want to change my bedding.  I'm mainly looking for ideas for accessories and something to put on the wall above the bed, either a headboard or a picture or something.

for some reason I want to say I saw a room this color in Domino mag last month. I think they did a lot of clear furniture and it looked pretty cute and modern. Maybe check your grocery store to see if you can find it...

I can finally see the pic now!  I love that color.  It's like the color of a Tiffany's box .  I also think that lucite/clear things might look really cool.  Good idea, lindsayp!  Maybe you could buy some more things in that goldenrod color of the pillow?

I can't finally see it. What about a long (hortizontal) picture above the bed? Or a set of a few pics? Like maybe something that incorperates the yellow, white and teal in a frame to match the dresser? My mom has some beautiful Greek landscapes in her guest bedroom, I think something along that line would work for you.

For Example...

"Greek Village" Print

"Greek Isles, Santorini II" Print

"Green Gate" Print

I like Brazen Canadian's ideas...the greek prints are beautiful, especially if the rest of your house leans toward contemporary rather than modern.

You could also go totally retro/geometric in there, too... a lot of black & white accents, and maybe a tiny bit of red or yellow here & there. Like theotherjess suggested, you could use some cool lucite pieces & stuff like this:

Fieldcrest Cashmere Garnet Toss PillowFieldcrest Red Throw Pillow

maybe a set of 2 or 3 of these above the bed:

"Side to Side" Print"Round and Round" Print"Many Choices" Print

They're from CB2, which is Crate & Barrel's new catalog line.  http://www.cb2.com/
