What's good music to study too? I know I probably shouldn't have any, but that just makes me crazy. Classical music? Stuff that's not too distracting? I'm kind into folky/countyish stuff right now.
I loooove Alison Krauss. It's definitely country/folkish and just light and easy to study with since it's not too distracting. She has such a beautiful voice and I love all the songs. I *think* the one I have may be called Lonely Runs Both Ways, but it's the one where the first song is Gravity.

Any classical/romantic/baroque stuff (the OLD music, like Mozart, etc.), Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett. Sometimes Moby (the softer stuff) or Portishead. That was my study music back in school.
The soundtrack to Cinema Paradiso. I used to call it my "Genius CD." It sounds weird, but this CD got me through every major paper I ever wrote in college. It's beautiful and calming!

this is true! Mozart & Beethoven have worked well in studies too. It actually works best if you play the music while you're learning the material and then again when you're being tested, but that's not an option all the time.
