hey ladies, so i just wanted to update ya'll on my current situation (not that anyone asked, but just wanted to share).  so i "met" the manager of my favorite band when i went to vegas last month on the day before my bday.  i say "met" because i've known him in a sense since i was 16 because me & my friend would always bug him for backstage passes & stuff.  but this time, he came up to me!  he watched the show w/ us & then me & my friend hung out w/ him after the show.  it was at the palms so after hanging by the pool for a while (which is where the concert was held), he took us to rain & ghostbar.  we exchanged numbers & email addresses with the intent of hanging out when we got back to LA.


well, we did, just a few days later we went on a date.  he took me to some industry party/venue opening thing.  it was pretty cool, then we went to a dive bar for a drink, then we went back to his place to make out.


that was a tuesday, & the following friday we went out again.  we got dinner & then went to a bar for drinks, then back to my place to make out.


then he went out of town first to NY, then to Sweden so by the time we scheduled our next date it was a full four weeks after the last one.  anyways, the date was this past friday & it was so great!  he's such a sweet guy & doesn't make me feel like a "fan."  we went to dinner, then to a bar that had been reopened & turned out to be a gay bar.  he was totally cool w/ it (but i think most people are these days, especially in LA) & even stayed a few minutes to look around & see how they remodelled.  then we went to a very hollywood club that his friend was promoting.  we walked past the line, which i love!!  oh & he likes to dance!!  very rare from what i've seen.  and he's good!  after that we went back to his place.


so as for him, he's 34 (ten years older, but not the first guy i've dated of that age), 5'10"  (finally a good amount taller than me!), has a dog & a cat, nice house, nice car.  i dunno what it is, but i feel so comfortable w/ him... we don't have awkward silences or anything like that.  ok, that's all, thanks for reading!

haha, thanks ladies!  laken1, he doesn't salsa dance... YET!  and he is a very good kisser!  and good at everything else too!


blubirde, yes, he's the same guy and i'm so glad he called!  i'm slowly but surely starting to trust that he will call & not freak out every time an hour passes w/o him calling!

never thought i'd update this soon, but i took a risk:


backstory is i'm going to vegas this weekend (which he knows), i have class tues & wed nights (which he should know), and my friend & her bf are spending the night thursday because they are flying out of LAX early friday & i live close by & they don't.


okay, so knowing that today is the only day i would be able to see my boy, i decided i wouldn't wait for him to contact me & i emailed him instead.  i told him today was my only free day & i understood if he wasn't free but just wanted to let him know.  he just wrote back & he actually is having dinner w/ family tonight , but it's in my area so he suggested meeting up afterwards.  i think it's a good sign i was able to land a same-day date... even if it may be a "booty call"! it's pre-planned, so that's okay, right?

Hehe...it's pre-planned and you'll be fine. Besides, his being so accomodating can only be a good thing, right?

Pre-planned does not a booty call make. Nope, nope, nope. Booty calls can only occur after midnight with a call shortly before. You're definitely safe.


And I consider a same day score an excellent sign. Good for you!


Um, did I mention slightly jealous? Like 90% happy for you and 10% jealous.
