I don't know if you watch Top Chef, but the host is a woman who has a long & large scar running down her arm (from a childhood accident I believe.) Padama is considered to be a beautiful woman and the scar only makes her interesting too. I think you should try to think of what ever scars you have as "points of interest" instead of defects. Almost everybody has scars somewhere, I would assume. I have 2 small ones (on the bridge of my nose and on my eyebrow.)
atlgirl - I've had more sun exposure than I should have, and I burn easy. It was probably just a matter of time. Sorry about your scarring - I too tend to have lighter pigmented scars.
Boots - no haven't seen top chef. She's probably in her 20's. Scars look better on younger people. The huge scars on my chest I don't find too interesting

Nope. Padama is 40 (of course she's a former model so she looks great.) Now, I have no idea why the hell she's hosting a cooking show, but that's another thing....
Here's a photo. I know models can get away with a lot more than regular woman can. But I thought that maybe seeing somebody else with a scar might help you see that you're beautiful with scars too.
And the scars on your chest means that you beat cancer. You beat the hell out of it.
