First, just wanted to say I LOVE the room.  And the drapes are from Target?!?  Holy crap, they look custom and $$$$.  I love how they match the walls!!

Second, I literally just fell out of my chair when I saw Courtney's "redo."

Courtney, those red curtains make my room look like a bordello!  I truly can't wait to see how you decorate your new house!

omg, i can't believe this is happening!  missmee's house looks fantastic the way it is, and she didn't want any advice or misguided "help" with her window treatments.  lol on bordello, though.

Honestly?  It looks like an ice cream shop or something.  Please get a life.

Oh, I had a good laugh posting the redone window treatments!  I think that shade looks good.

Well, I really can't wait to get to decorating my new house.  I will post picutures when I finish the rooms and if anybody has anything to say, I truly want to hear it.  Because if anybody has any ideas that would make it better I want to know!

That 'new' room looks really matchy-matchy!  I much prefer the sophisticated look that Miss Mee chose.

Oh boy - this thread is entertaining!

MissMee - I LOVE the room - I am also impressed at how "Adult" it is with having kids, I am so afraid my "adult" house is going to turn into gymboree...any suggestions how you keep it in order?

Order?!?!  Well, luckily I have a basement that we just finished in order to be able to keep most of the toys and stuff down there.  Of course you may know that they still haul their toys and other finds around, so we have baskets of stuff hidden behine both the couch and the red chair in the pictures above.  That's one reason why placing furniture at an angle is so helpful - it hides all the stuff really well!!!!!

I only clean up their messes during their naptime and after they've all gone upstairs to bed.  I'll pick up small messes if it's handy, and I'll always clean up food messes (of course), but it's pretty pointless to clean up after every mess.  I'd never do anything else!!!!
