I'm in a look back at the good times mood. Things that made me happy in 2010:
-Beignets at midnight with my youngest brother at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans
- She-crab soup with my mom in Savannah while watching the huge 2 story shipping freighters sail by the restaurant
-playing extreme bocce ball with friends and family on Memorial Day
-grilling dinner on a Summer evening with a glass of wine in hand and favorite songs on my Ipod
-being blown away by the Lookingglass Theater's production of Alice in Wonderland. It was like something out of a circus only in a space the size of my backyard.
-my annual freedom walk around downtown Chicago on my first day off after a hellish tax season
-attending my little cousin's first college football game and screaming my lungs out
-meeting my brother's puppy, Kona for the first time, and realizing that he was going to wrap my family around his little (now huge!) paw
-making my best time in the 5K I race every Thanksgiving morning
- Selling our old house and buying a new house - Traveling to Seattle with my hubby for a week - Traveling to San Diego in August to see my oldest brother get married - Traveling to Napa in October with 16 of my college girlfriends to celebrate our 30th birthdays - Meeting a bunch of really nice neighbors - Making one really good new friend - Seeing Lyle Lovett in concert
Being a part of this was easily the highlight of my year - two beagles rescued from a university research lab. It was a Christmas miracle. These little guys had never been outside, seen the sun, felt the grass under their feet, never touched a soft blankie or slept in a bed, never had a toy or a treat or a name, just a number tattooed on their ear. They had never known anything but needles and wire cages, and never experienced a loving touch from a human hand, only fear and pain. They are both doing great and one already has a forever home.
Su - that video made me cry. So sad and so touching.
Good things in 2010 for me: - finding my forever home - giving a forever home to two rescue puppies - being able to sell two homes in the Michigan housing market - reasonably good health - becoming legal for medical marijuana - a patient and hard working husband during major home renovations - a job I love - good friends

Suasoria, I love that the beagles were rescued. I have a big soft spot for beagles since I have one myself. That little animal is the sweetest thing in the world. I'd adopt a whole litter of beagles if I could! Glad these beagles got a happy ending and I hope the second one finds its forever home soon.
Things that made me happy this year- - I got a new job - I married my best friend - We bought a house - We have an opportunity (when we want it) to move out of the state - I expanded my group of friends and now feel as though I have a really great bunch of people I can count on - My doggies- they are just awesome - Vacationing in San Diego and LA
