And I think everything is pretty much set! Nothing other than my parents is really stressing me out. My mother tries to be overly involved with "planning" and has been posting like a crazy wedding-countdown zealot every day on Facebook. I'm sure her friends will be glad when this event is over. And my dad (whom I haven't seen in 5 years) was planning to come, but bailed out at the last minute because he has to work his part-time jobat a gun repair shop (he's retired). Typical. He may show up halfway through dinner. I think SO finally understands why I don't go out of my way for my father.
But other than that, all is good! I'm ready, the dress is ready, SO's suit is ready and we have a fun photo session booked (doggies included!) before dinner with family and drinks with friends. I will post links to pictures when I have them.
How exciting! Not that I'm religious, but this is a great way to have "steak" on Friday Can't wait to see pictures! You're going to be a stunning bride!

Congratulations! So exciting and wishing you a wonderful day and the happiest of lives together. Can't wait to see pics - you'll make such a beautiful bride.
Thanks, everyone! The day was awesome! Our photography session was so fun and I had a great time with our family and friends during dinner and drinks. My mom was a little overbearing and attempted to make the day about her and what she wanted out of it, but we quickly put a stop to that. My dad ended up coming and was surprisingly cool and very sociable. Overall, it was a great day for me and D and I'm so happy we took the JP route and simple dinner/drinks approach.
Pardon my stupidity: what's JP tour? I"m glad everything turned out great! Please post pictures!!! If you can - of the atmosphere inside the place as well! CONGRATS again!!!

We went to the Justice of the Peace to get married, which is what I meant by taking the JP route. Our photoshoot took place downtown in the city where we live. I only have a few pics right now that my photographer sent as low-res sneak peeks, but I'll post some when I get more.
