Thank you readers for all of the helpful tips regarding my post yesterday where I posed the question: how do I remove dirt marks from suede and scuffs from leather boots?
I received a ton of helpful answers. Here are the results:
I tried the tip of 1 part vinegar, 1 part water to remove the dirt from my Uggs. Followed by a suede brush. It worked like a charm, and my Uggs are good as new!
I tried shoe polish on my black Kaden boots and it didn't do a thing. So I moved onto the Black Sharpie and guess what? Bye bye scuffs! The sharpie covered them right up!
Next, I went to work on my Target Taupe Kachiri Boots. *Sigh*. Here's where my tale of woe starts. I used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser just like you girls suggested. I tried it dry and nothing. So I wet it just a touch. I was super gentle and light with it, and guess what? It still removed some of the color from my beloved boots. I'm so sad. So now what do I do readers? Try to find a shoe cream that matches the color of the boots (which is a bit difficult - I mean are they taupe? Are they gray?), take them to the shoe repair place and see if they can bring the color back, or get really crazy and buy a new pair. Any suggestions? I promise I won't be so needy next week!
Speaking of scuffs and marks on suede. Elise, you're a genius my dear. Yesterday, Elise recommended using a Pink Pearl eraser on suede. Wearing these shoes today, that eraser trick sure came in handy! I erased the scuffs on these puppies right out!
Alright, now I know what you're probably thinking. You've seen this outfit before. Why yes readers, yes you have. I wore it a few weeks ago. Buuuuuuut, and this is a BIG but, last time I wore it, I didn't have these fabulous tights or shoes on with it. So it's just like a new outfit, see?!
