The vet wants to see Charlie for a couple more weeks. He's out of the woods on losing his leg, but there is still considerable skin growth that needs to take place, as well as wound care/changing wrapping/cast. The rescue lady had been taking really good care of him and keeping him with her at all times. I agree that it's probably not the best idea to change vets and disrupt Charlie's environment at this time.
The rescue lady has a friend driving up to the Detroit airport tomorrow, and she might be able to transport Flora up so I can get her now. This scenario might work out better anyway, as it will give Flora, my husband, and I time to get acclimated before Charlie enters the mix
