The vet wants to see Charlie for a couple more weeks.  He's out of the woods on losing his leg, but there is still considerable skin growth that needs to take place, as well as wound care/changing wrapping/cast. The rescue lady had been taking really good care of him and keeping him with her at all times.  I agree that it's probably not the best idea to change vets and disrupt Charlie's environment at this time.

The rescue lady has a friend driving up to the Detroit airport tomorrow, and she might be able to transport Flora up so I can get her now.  This scenario might work out better anyway, as it will give Flora, my husband, and I time to get acclimated before Charlie enters the mix smile

so, now I am shooting for picking up Flora on Monday or Tuesday.  I'm waiting to hear...

Cute puppies! An old neighbor had two Cairn Terriers, and they were so cute and sweet. They were named Apl and Arnold.
