I am thinking of trying to put in a lot of skirts and top it off with a jean jacket. Also I will be getting a lot of use out of my blazer for sure! And to use long necklaces and buy some cute earrings and bracelets to go with them!
A strange thing has happened to me. I'm actually excited about the fall clothes that I'm seeing in the stores this year! I don't remember the last time this happened in the fall! I plan to buy a completely new fall/winter wardrobe since I don't really have much of one for work.
I plan to center around the following colors:
Brown
Rust
Purple
Teal
Navy (!!)--this is strange b/c I never really was drawn to navy before, but I'm going to buy a few pieces
Of course, I'll be wearing pink, but I plan to wear a rich, rose pink for fall
I also want to buy lots of textured items: tweed, velvet, sweaters that I don't have an allergic reaction to, silk, embellishments, ect. I'll also be stocking up on round-toes b/c I'm obsessed! I want to buy lots of cropped pants, some trousers and several skirts. I will not be living in my jeans this year, unlike every other year since I can remember. Jeans will be reserved for casual Friday and nights out. I want get my fall/winter wardrobe to the level that my spring/summer wardrobe is at. Whew...looks like I have my work cut out for me.
Oh yes, I forgot. As always (for me, anyway), accessories, especially jewelry are of the utmost importance! I can't believe I'm excited for fall!

Now that there are more fall clothes in the stores, I'm getting even more excited. I really want a bunch of trousers and cropped pants. I'm planning to buy short sleeve blazers. Rampage (the store where I work my part-time job) has this awesome metallic gold/bronzish s/s blazer (almost exactly like the one Keri Russel wore on the cover of Lucky's March 05 issue). I was obsessed with that blazer and now I've found one that's almost like it!! And I get a discount on it!! YAY!!
Two other colors to add to my list: amber and cranberry. And I'm also obsessed with cloisonne jewelry right now, too.
For like the *3 weeks* when it's actually "cold" out I will probably be wearing jeans/cords, sweater/blazer over tank top or short sleeve tops, and clogs/ballet flats. I've never been into fall clothes (I was the girl wearing jeans and a long sleeve top with flip flops ) but yall manage to look so cute during a season I typically think of as boring. I'm going to try much harder to actually look fall/winter appropriate this year, but we'll see how well that goes .

I also want a lot of texture. Tweed, chunky sweaters. I'm into brown leather too, all different shades. I think my colors will be green, purple and brown (which I'm always into) as well as blue (a new addition). I'll also be wearing a lot of big ethnic jewelery as usual.
I imagine I'll be in mostly tanks or tees topped off with some sort of cardigan / shrug. I have been buying up sweaters like crazy even though it's still 100 degrees - but most of them are light weight. I am a big fan of tees, graphic, vintage, & otherwise, so I imagine they will go under blazers & hoodies as well.
I am also loving the idea of the skirts / denim jacket although I hadn't really thought about it much until I saw this post...thanks ranchera20!

I'm challenging myself to wear skirts for as long as possible into the fall. I love wearing them in the summer, but as soon as the weather gets a tiny bit colder, I stop. I've been trying to think of ways to layer on top so that I'll stay warm enough.
Other than that... I actually can't wait to get out my cashmere sweaters and stuff. I haven't thought much about color schemes... Nyabelle's makes me want to come up with one..
I've purchased like 4 pairs of cropped pants to wear w/ boots for fall. As mentioned in previous thread I started somewhere, I've been drawn to mostly browns and a light magenta color. And I have a bizillion pairs of jeans, so I'll be wearing a lot of jeans and light sweaters with my boots. I'd love to find some skinny jeans to tuck.
I also have a couple of cute pin-striped blazers that I may wear, but I always feel stupid in a jacket.......
I think I'll be wearing a lot of skirts and cropped pants w/boots - I really like that look. Also, I already have a ton of blazers that I'll be wearing. I'm really into tweeds and herringbone. I also plan to get a lot of chocolate brown and dark teal.
I will be wearing tons of tunics, prairie skirts, shrugs, jeans, nice knitted gauchos, boots, metallic belts and flats, vintage jewelry galore, and last but not least... blazers blazers blazers!
Well....I have been doing a LOT of fall shopping (what shopping ban? Thank goodness mine was in the summer for one month only...I have not imposed another because I knew I was going to like a lot of things this fall). I have suddenly been gaga over chocolate brown...mmm. And teal - haven't seen so much of it in stores since the 1980's, and I love that color. Also green - one of my favorite colors, and usually hard to find in stores - been stocking up on that too. So far I have bought:
- brown mid-heel suede pointy-toed pumps (Bandolino)
- brown suede sandals (Nordies)
- teal v-neck sweater (Limited)
- aqua v-neck cable sweater (Target)
- pistachio v-neck sweater (Ann Taylor)
- small pewter handbag (Limited)
- olive green suede frame bag (Nine West)
- black platform-y knee high boots (Unisa, DSW)
And I have my eye on a sweater at Banana, and a pair of cowboy boots on eBay (I already have a black pair, now I want some brown ones)
I can't wait for the temps to drop a bit so I can break out the fall clothes!! Temps are still in the nineties (or very high eighties) this week...ugh.
