I read up on the case for my class (we're doing current events) and that is some messed-up stuff. 10 lifetimes in jail are not enough for that guy, truly. I cannot imagine how horrible it was for the families to hear the details.
I've been hearing about this on the news, it is so horrible! I dont know how one human being can be so cruel!!! What got to me was when they said that he was a pastor in his church and a boys scout leader! It so scary and these are the kind of people who deserve the worst ever!!
I refuse to read that - I caught some of the live action yesterday & couldn't turn it off - until it just got too creepy. THe whole time all I could think was that he was enjoying hearing about it all again, and he got to hear what the police were thinking. I can't imagine that they even needed this hearing to give him life...I mean really, was there even a question? Not to get into a death penalty debate, but too bad he doesn't live here in Texas....

I remember reading about this guy in a magazine (Cosmo, maybe) long before they caught him and discovered who he was. This man is a sick freak and hell is too good for him.
laken1, I have to agree with your death penalty statement. Life in prison is too good for him. Life in solitary confinement is too good for him. In this instance where there isn't a shadow of a doubt that this sicko did this, I'm all for the death penalty (otherwise, I'm kind of iffy on it).
I've read some of the stuff he told police earlier in the year and it's sick. Just pure sick.
What disturbs me most about it is that he was a husband, a dad, a boy scout leader, a church leader--what appeared to be just your average Joe. Could you imagine being his wife and all of a sudden finding out that the guy you married is a total PSYCHO?!?!?!?! Or, just as bad, that the guy you knew and loved as your dad for all those years gets a thrill out of torturing people?!?!?! Ugh. It just makes me sick to think about it.
That man is a disgusting drain on society. I am opposed to the death penalty but could make an exception for him. I can't fathom what its like to think the way that he does.
I think the worst part is that he has absolutely no remorse whatsoever. The whole idea that his victims will "serve" him in the afterlife is just so sickening to me, not to mention the fact that he killed some of these women's children in front of them, etc. What a horrible way for these people to have spent the final moments of their lives.
I hope he gets royally a$$-raped in prison.
