I know this was posted months ago, but maybe it'll help someone.

I recently have been making pretty good side money on ebay. I was laid off at the end of last year and started selling a bunch of things I had laying around the house that I didn't want to sell for a penny at a yard sale. I've been getting a pretty good return. My mom's boss gave her a big trash bag full of her used clothes and I sold everything on ebay and made $600! I averaged that ebay/paypal fees are about 20% of my total sales, and I bought adhesive labels and poly mailers for cheap on ebay. My ebay supplies (envelopes, tape, labels) I figured are down to 25 cents a package, and I add that to my shipping costs.

That said, I think its a great option! Beats my local consignment 30 to 35% fees.
