i didn't want to steal a thread, so here's my own: i'm going to vegas from sunday 8/21 - wednesday 8/24 and since we will be there so long (me & momma) i was thinking of going to a show. i want to see a cirque show, or possibly danny gans cuz i've heard he's amazing. the thing is i don't want to spend a lot as i will probably buy my mom's ticket since she's paying for everything else. so my question is, how bad are "bad" seats? as in, the cheapest ones. would it be better to fork out the money for the best tickets at mystere, or spend the same amount on the cheap seats at O or Ka? i would prefer to spend under 100 per ticket, if possible. thanks ladies!!
From my experience, the cheap seats in Vegas aren't always bad because usually the venues aren't huge so you can still see everything. Before you book tickets, make sure you can see a map of the venue.
I've seen a lots of shows in Vegas... O, Celine Dion, Sigfried & Roy, Forever Plaid, EFX, Penn & Teller, Tom Jones in concert, Blue Man Group, Mama Mia and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. For several things, like Sigfried & Roy and O, are seats were in the middle towards back and it was still fine. Other things, like Celine we were in the 4th row and I personally thought that was a little too close.
I have no idea about prices though. I would love to see Danny Gans though. I would also check what concerts are going on.
In my opinion, if you're going to see one of the Cirque shows you should sit pretty far back and higher up b/c then you have a better overall view of the stage. Because so many things are going on at once and they all form a big picture, I prefer to sit farther back. I saw Mystere and we were in what could have been considered 'bad' seats b/c we were so far up, but it was awesome! Just try to sit in the middle of the rows, wherever you sit b/c on the sides you might miss things.
I don't know about pricing either, so I'm not any help there.
