So i loved my R&R Roth jeans more than any other pair- ever, and wore 'em all the time and recommended them to everyone i knew- even when i interned for the UK distributer of JOE'S and even now working at Anthro where we sell JOE'S and AG.
so imagine my dismay when as i was getting into my friends jeep a few weeks back and the jeans SPLIT. right at the butt! and they weren't even super tight. I asked various people- my mother who makes all of her clothes, managers at my store, etc. and everyone said that this was not something that should have happened and must have been caused by some sort of flaw in the material.
So i took the jeans back to the boutique i bought them at, but I had lost the receipt so they wouldn't do anything about it. My friend that works at Nordstrom told me that they would return them if i just said i bought them there, but i just didnt feel right doing that. So i e-mailed R&R- the showrooms and customer service. I told them that i was a good customer and an advocate of the brand and that i was disappointed in the quality. i said that i expect the company to stand behind their products and that i cannot support subpar quality, etc etc. and asked them to replace the jeans. (my e-mail was much MUCH more well written than my synopsis i promise)
anyways some of the e-mails bounced back and I hadn't received a response so today i resent the e-mail to other R&R addresses listed on the site and i got an immediate reply saying that they would not only replace my jeans but send someone out to pick up my torn pair so I don't have to spend any money! they are doing this to restore my faith in the brand...
i didn't really think they would go out of their way to be so helpful, and it definitely makes me love the brand even more. just wanted to share!
wow, that's amazing! do you think you can write them & convince them that i deserve a pair of scorpions? i have two other pairs of R&R's & i had to give away my first pair cuz i lost weight (which is why i bought the second pair). i am a big advocate as well & although i don't have any tears, i really think i deserve a pair of scorpions... okay, now you write that up into something that makes sense.. thanks!!
haha crystal... let me get to work on that, i mean, i deserve a pair of scorpions too! im sure i could find a way to convince them to give them to us!:)
bex- i did.. and the mgr said they would return them if i had the receipt, but in between moving and going to europe for a qtr (i bought these right before) i seemed to have lost all of my old ones..
as much as i love IN this experience will probably make me more likely to purchase from nordstrom b/c i know that they will back their products no matter what. I also will be more careful abt receipts!
