I thought I would try to creat discussion here by posting our book club's reading list. So, here it is (I'm leaving out the authors due to laziness on my part):
Sarah's Key We Need to Talk About Kevin Little Bee The Piano Teacher Home Game Shanghai Girls Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim Water for Elephants The Glass Castle
I love hearing what other book clubs are reading, so if you're in a book club, post away please!
gossipgirl - do you mean Water for Elephants or Like Water for Chocolate? We are reading Water for Elephants. I've heard of The Kids Are Allright. Let me know how your club likes it!
You have a David Sedaris! If you've never read him before, you're going to love him. He's so funny and weird.
I love funny and weird! A lot of us have read him and we kind of just picked him by default because we were trying to find something light. All (or most) of our other choices were a bit heavy and we wanted light reading during the winter months. I'm looking forward to reading it, but after the meeting I remembered a book called "Sh*t my Dad Says" that I want to read that I think would have been great. Have you heard of or read that one?
Any other light (but not chick lit) books that you guys recommend?
Have you ever read A Year in Providence by Peter Mayle? It's about an English couple who move to a quaint little town in France. The book is nonfiction and quite funny. Anything that can go wrong with the house does and the culture shock of living in a small French town is hilarious. He wrote a series of books on his experiences in Providence, but I think the first book was the best.
I haven't read Anthony Bourdian's new book, Medium Raw, yet, but I loved his other books.

Thanks, Boots. Yep, I've read A Year in Provence and liked it! I've also read one of Anthony Bourdain's book - Kitchen Confidential I think. Going to check out Medium Raw now. Thanks for the rec!
