I haven't been in love with Lucky for a few years now, but Jane was such a trashy mess when it finally folded. Not sure how great an idea this is. I think that Lucky might have been better off grabbing somebody fresh who could inject the mag with new and inventive ideas. The features in Lucky are pretty much the same from month to month (layering! sweet but tough! what I want now!) I think an update is a good idea, but I kind of doubt that Brandon Holley will take the mag in a direction I like.

hm. I quit getting Lucky a couple of years ago. I'm curious to see what direction it will take.

I'm curious too because Jane folded under Holley's reign and Elle Girl folded soon after she left. I wonder if this is the end...?

I hope not! I used to love Jane, and I also read ElleGirl back in the day. Holley seems to be a magazine killer. While Lucky isn't my favorite, it's an alright read, and I find some things in every issue that I like. Maybe she can make it better? Like Boots said, it's the same thing month after month. It needs a fresh perspective.

I am actually excited about this...I loved Jane magazine and I hope she brings a new. fresh perspective to Lucky.  But I do wonder why France is leaving...and what she will do next.

Interesting. I, too, wonder why Kim France is leaving and am a little concerned about her replacement. But also excited to see if this revives the mag at all.
