without repeating an outfit (or wearing stuff you don't like)? I think I could go 30 days, but it would get really hard towards the end. I tend to wear tops with only one or two bottoms and vice versa. I'm intrigued by those that can coordinate their whole wardrobe so that they can mix and match. I've never been able to plan that well.
Yikes. I can go a really long time. Once, in high school, a friend and I had a competition to see who could go the longest without repeating an outfit (could wear a top with different pants or skirt with different top) and we went 9 weeks and called it quits because we were ready to repeat.
I have been at my current job 10 weeks and haven't repeated an outfit yet. I went 3 weeks without repeating shoes (M-F). I think I need to go on a ban because I have too much clothes!!!

HOLY COW!! I don't have that many shoes (that are work appropriate. Maybe that many clothes though...if I could mix and match, I might be able to go that long w/out repeating an entire outfit.

This is a bit hilarious/crazy, but back in my school days I would actually keep a daily log and wrote down what I wore so I wouldn't forget what I wore and repeat an outfit too soon! Now I could care less. I will wear the same jeans up to three days in a row (I may only wear them a couple hours at a time) and may wear with the same jacket or cardigan. Just put on what I feel like wearing.

I've tried to do this on several occasions, but have never been able to stick with it. It becomes such a chore and I start forgetting days (or whole weeks). It would really be useful, though, to make sure you get the most wear out of things.
I don't think I could go very long at all- maybe like 2 weeks? 3 weeks? maybe if I really tried I could go longer...I am horrible at mixing and matching and always wear the same things together.
Okay, I'm going to sound crazy, but I have been at my job since June 22 and I still haven't repeated an outfit and I probably won't have to for the rest of the summer. Actually, I don't think I've worn the same outfit ever in the past few years. I also haven't repeated a weekend outfit or a going out outfit. I'm really weird about that. I hate to wear the same thing twice. I'll wear pieces of an outfit (like my favorite brown skirt), but never the same top and accessory combo more than once. I think I need to get over that, but I've always been that way. I have a ridiculous amount of clothes. I always get into debates with people b/c they think they have more clothes than me and then they see my closet and they're like, OMG, it's a store! My senior year of highschool, I went the entire year without wearing the same thing (sick, I know).
Cortney 1982, I do the daily outfit log thing. I'm insane.
LOL I'll have to say maybe 30 days also, I really don't like wearing the same thing(s) over and over again, but that's just me, hence my rather large wardrobe. LOL And, like NYLA and Courtney, I'm insane too, I keep a WEEKLY outfit log on my computer at home, so I won't wear the same things in the same month.....LOL Call me crazy....

I could probably go like a month or two, but I am always repeating outfits because I'm basically too lazy to try new stuff (although I've been better lately). Once I find an outfit that works well for me, I tend to come back to it. Realistically though, I could go for awhile without repeating an outfit. I ought to challenge myself this month!
NylaBelle, you are my fashion hero. I would seriously pay you or FP to take me shopping and tell me what to buy to expand my wardrobe.
Right now, I am doing my "wear all your fun summery stuff before the end of August" when certain things must be packed away, like the pink seersucker pants I LOVE (and wore yesterday). So I'm repeating.
Hmm, I have no problem repeating outfits, but I've probably only repeated an outfit 5 times in the past 2 years? I just have too many clothes- I wear some of the same pieces over and over again in different ways. Or I'll just wear a different bag/shoes if I am wearing the same jeans/tee together. I don't have many "outfits". I am trying to scale back on my wardrobe though.
Not counting the weekend of me rolling around my apartment eating my way through the fridge in green Juciy terry pants and a bra (yeah BF loves that), I think I could go 3 months without repeating an exact outfit.
Even when I have a favorite base outfit, I will change something as simple as the jacket to transform the look completely.
I have no idea... I tend to have things that don't do well layered - so I'm stuck with a top and a bottom, rather than more interesting combinations.
My problem: I can never remember what I wear! I can't imagine saying how long I go without repeating outfits, simply because after a week or so, I just don't remember what I wear. If I do laundry over the weekend, I have to be careful not to wear the same thing I wore just the last week! I've tried to write outfits down, but it's tedious.
I really have no idea. I repeat most of my work outfits about once a month, but I have a few go-to outfits that I wear more often (usually when I'm to late too put much thought into the day). I probably don't repeat going out outfits and weekend outfits at all. The majority of my clothes aren't actually appropriate for my job, so I tend to mix things up a lot more on evenings and weekends.
I'm not on a shopping ban any more, but I'm on a kick where I won't buy anything I can't wear to work. If I buy a top that isn't appropriate for work, I have to have a cardi or blazer that I can throw over it to make it wearable for work.

I don't think I've worn the exact same outfit in two years. I also do an outfit log
