boys DO suck

The above statement has been disputed in past threads. I would like to offer my latest night of being stood up - the third time since June, by the way - as evidence that the statement in question is, in fact, quite true.


 


PS - I was stood up by three separate boys-who-suck, not the same one. Oh, and all of them seemed to be drooling all over me before the stand up! Is my attraction radar really that off?

I can't believe three guys have stood you up!!! I had two dates canceled by a guy I was really into (I'm sure you remember my OCD obsessive chart-making *shudder*). I was so upset by that but at least he called ahead of time. I still sort of hate him for it though. Whatev, he deserves it. He tricked me into thinking he was a nice guy. Liar!!!


I agree with you though, boys DO suck. Even when they're good, they're bad. *sigh* I suppose that's why we want them so though.

i totally agree, boys suck.


i have the problem that things will be going great and then the guy just stops calling... i'll start seeing someone.  they will call all the time, i'll see them a couple of times a week.  they will seem to really like me, they will even tell me how much they like me.  then, poof, i'll never hear from them again.  wtf?


i have a girlfriend that has been stood up 4 times by the same guy!!! (yes, this is now becoming partly her fault for being dumb enough to accept his apologies only to have him stand her up again.) 


grrr.  boys suck.

omg, ME TOO!!  this happens to me so often that i come to expect it.  now i'm so stressed out cuz i like this guy but i'm just waiting for him to stop calling suddenly.  guys are such losers!

Yes ... they do.

That's why it is always best to have a backup plan/safety net.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I am dating around right now. If I start to get too obsessed with one over the other, I just remind myself that "you are The Bachelorette!" You hold the cards. You have many guys to choose from ... don't just start focusing on one too soon.

You are an awesome person and don't deserve this.

when i was in college, there was this super cute guy and we always used to stop and smile at each other but never talked.   finally we saw each other out one night and he asked me out.  we went on date #1 and had a great time.  so he called and asked if i wanted to go to dinner the next week.  of course i said yes, and all was well.  he called on that day to see what time to pick me up.  i told him a time, and he said okay see you in about 1 hour.  and he didn't show up.  that was my stand up. i never saw him again.  wonder what happened to him?

I try to do this too, but sometimes it gets tiring trying to "date"  a few people at once.  As soon as I feel like I have weeded through them and found one I *like* more than the others, poof, he's gone.  Crystal, I'm like you, I have gotten to where I just wait for the day when they don't call anymore and I'm excited when they return my calls.  I thought I was the only one.  A friend of mine and I were discussing how sad is it that our criteria for guys now includes returning phone calls.  That should be a given!

Update - it wasn't the space guy. That one is in japan and I was trying to take the edge off with a cute guy who seemed to be flirting. And I remember your ocd-inducing guy Bluebirde - I hate him too. Anyway, I only tried going out with someone else because I'm tired of waiting around for space guy to get sick of me and stop calling. It's too stressful. Who said "I am the bachelorette..." again? I LOVE that!

yeas, they do suck...I love my husband, but sometimes he does really suck....

once i went on a blind date with a guy that I met on jdate...he sounded great, cute, doctor, jewish...so we met at a bar/grill...things seemed to be going well, and he got up to go to the bathroom and never came back!

I took a huge drink of diet coke right when I started reading that and I almost spit it all over my desk!!! That's the worst/funniest thing I've ever heard! What did you do?

well, at first I though maybe he was just taking a long time in the bathroom or something, but after about 20 minutes ...I said to the bartender, "I think I have been diched..." he replied "I think so...." I think he felt really bad do he took care of our dinners and drinks...did I fail to mention that we were in the middle of dinner when he left!!!
I sadi thanks to the bartender and left!

OMG!  That guy goes way beyond sucks!  I hope karma did something awful to his balls.
