I am going to Las Vegas for the weekend. I will be there from Friday afternoon to late Sunday night. My hotel is already paid for. I know this is all relative, but how much money would you bring for 3 days in Vegas? I will just need money for entertainment and meals. I don't plan on shopping in the short time I am there.
Thanks!
ETA: I just realized I posted this in the wrong category! Sorry!
Well, you can find a variety of price points in Vegas, but if you want the really good stuff, it gets expensive ($50 per head and up). As far as going out, a lot of clubs don't charge a cover for girls or the cover is less for girls than guys. Drinks are expensive no matter where you go, unless you're gambling, then they're free, but you have to tip.
I would say bring at least $300. That way you should be able to get at least one really, really good meal and then do moderately priced or cheap the rest of the time. If you want to see a show, though, I would bring more, b/c tickets for those are kind of expensive. Sorry, that probably wasn't too much help!
Whatever you do, take all the cash you're going to take with you - don't count on ATMs, because they're freaking expensive!
When I went to Vegas in April I set aside a certain amount for gambling each day ($50 or whatever - depends on what kind of gambler you are) and then set aside an amount for entertainment ($50 - $100 probably). But you can do some research and find out where you want to go and how much the covers are for those clubs, etc. to plan more accurately. Have any idea where you're going? Going to see any shows?
You're going to have so much fun!
I wish I still had my chart (imagine me making a chart? hmmm) for where we were going to go and how much it was going to cost. We had a very detailed schedule of events when we went. We only ended up doing about a third of it, but that was the beauty of the chart, we color-coded the things that were really important and the rest was just filler.
this is just me, but i would bring $200-$300 a day. especially if you decide to go to any nice restuarants, if you're a gambler, and if you will be drinking those pricey (for what you get) drinks by the pool (we brought a small bottle of vodka the second day because they measured every drink, so they were super weak). have fun, i'm jealous!!!
