I need a cute watch

I have to get a watch for nursing school, which must have a second hand or digital second counter and be waterproof/water resistant.  I've never worn a watch regularly before, so I was hoping someone would have some recs for places that carry nice, relatively inexpensive options ($50 or less)?

Overstock:

I really like this Invicta watch's features and price.  Stainless, water resistant, high-contrast dial so it's easy to read at a glance, second hand, and it's kind of cool and retro looking. Good deal too:

Try Anne Klein, Kenneth Cole, Fossil and SWATCH!  ( I personally love those brands & they're inexpensive, easy to find online)

don't know if you found a watch yet, but I was browsing and saw these on overstock. all $60 and below. The $50 or below price point is very limiting for a half-way decent watch that's readable, water resistant, and second hand.  Also most watches with these features don't usually translate as "cute" -- but I still have my eyes peeled for one! ;)

Thank you for still keeping an eye open!

I think I'd have to call the style I'll likely end up with 'sporty' - I talked to a few real-life nurses (and nursing students) and found out about a couple other features that are really helpful to have, namely a face that lights up and a military-time option.  Neither of which are things that come on many 'fashion' watches.

It's alright though.  I picked up this boring cheapie option at Target that has all the features I was looking for ($14 - can't beat that!) for now:

I figure that I'll upgrade to something nicer when I decide if the extra features are worth having or not.  As much as it pains me, function will have to come first for now ...

I really, really like that purple-strap Fossil watch though.  Cute!

I've always gotten Fossil watches - they look nice and aren't that expensive. I wore mine for years throughout college, but I ended up losing it. I haven't found one to replace it yet, so all these suggestions are great for me too!
