I'm checking out hotel/flight packages to New Orleans. So far Travelocity has the best price. I've looked at Expedia and orbiz. Is there anywhere else I can check? The trip wouldn't be until November but if I can find a good deal now, I'd book right away.
Also, since I've never checked prices for New Orleans before, does $515.10 for a 3 night/4 day stay sound good? Airfare would be from Chicago.
Hi boots! Someone just posted on my facebook about kayak.com. There's also hotels.com, but it sounds like you got a good deal, depanding on how nice the hotel is. have fun! We're going there next month as my inlaws just moved there.
Thanks guys. I'm booking it for 5 of us, so priceline isn't an option for me this time. I've never heard of kayak or fly.com so I'm going to check them out. Also bing.
Alb- you'll have to let me know if you get any insider tips while you're there! I'm starting my research on places to go, but I'm getting the idea that the best places in NO are local hangouts. Have a good trip!
Thanks, boots and I will give you an update. When are you going? Cafe du Monde is a famous place for beignets - I remember going there the first time I visited NO. Also, chowhound is a good site for restaurant recs.
How funny! My husband and I are planning a trip there at the end of Oct/beg of Nov.!
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd welcome them. Although we haven't made reservations yet, using Orbitz I found a fare for approx $1000 for 5 nights at a 3-star hotel in the FQ and airfare on Continental .
Does anyone have an opinion about Galatoire's versus Emeril's restaurants for dinner? My husband and I will be spending our 5th wedding anniversay there.
TIA
