Help - Need to have my hair done in NYC

I'll be visiting NYC next week and need to have my hair done for a fairly informal event while I'm there. I'd like to wear my hair up but in a very simple style.


If anyone could recommend a hair salon I would be forever grateful! I have no idea where to go! TIA!

I'll be staying in Midtown. Unfortunately, I don't really know what would be a reasonable price for a simple updo in New York. Not more than $100, I would imagine (and hope)...

Bumble and Bumble has a locaton on 58th? or ...well it's right near Bloomingdales. It's a nice salon and if you ask for the less expensive stylist it's less than $100. i get my hair cut there and all the stylists have to have the same trainign so it really makes to diff if you go to the expsneive ones or not....


there's a cafe that makes yummy smoothies and sandwiches...
