Alright, ladies, I understand some of you love this product and I'm wondering if you can help me out here.


This is the fourth time I've used my Poetic Waxing kit and I really like it.  It's by far the most painless wax I've used and its getting easier to use each time I try it.  But I'm still having a few (minor) issues.


1)  The wax keeps sticking to my fingers, so by the time I'm halfway through waxing, I have big chunks of blue wax stuck to each of my fingers, and now they have remnants of cotton balls stuck to them as well. 


2)  Each time I use this, I end up with bits of the wax left over on my skin and it takes FOREVER to get it all off.  How do I get all the wax to come off in one go?  I have little bits of blue wax all over the bikini area and it ain't pretty. 


Also, this bain marie crap that they have you do is ridiculous.  Do you think one of those electric candle warmers that they sell at like Bed Bath and Beyond would circumvent the use of the bain marie?  It's like a hot plate that you stick your candle on so it warms up the candle and releases the scent so you don't have to light the candle, like in an office or dorm where it'd be a fire hazard.

sorry, i'm not here to help, only to commiserate!  i went thru the same issues as u which is why i lay off the stuff.  good luck, hope the other girls have some suggestions!!  and does "bain marie" mean heating something up in boiling water?  i've never heard that term before, but since i've used the stuff that's what i assume u were talking about.

The woman I go to for waxing uses tea tree oil to remove any leftover wax.  She has given me some in case I need it later, and the stuff is amazing.  I'm not sure if it's something you can get at the drugstore - you may need to get it at a beauty supply store.


And once, when I was in a bind, I bought some of those sally hansen wax strips at CVS.  They come with a special oil to remove any residue, and it really works.  HTH!

Usually I find that the toner-like cleanser & the oil they provide with the kit get the extra wax off (I think they tell you to use these in the directions, both pre-wax and afterwards if you can't get all the wax off).

I usually end up with quite a bit of wax under my fingernails, so I get out the cuticle stick and remove it.

Occasionally I have bits left on the bikini area, but again - the cleanser/oil stuff takes it off. You can minimize this by being a bit more heavy-handed when you initially apply your wax. I do short, but thick strips, and that seems to work best.

Also - you wax is blue?? Mine has always been a dark green...?
