I have literally dreamed of this day. I do not HATE where i am, but I am an atty and have been wasting my degree in non-profit. That sounds horrible, but I worked so hard for my degree and then to not use it and to have my brain atrophy....anyway. So, I got a real legal job doing women's medical product liability. Breast implants, hormone replacement therapy, DES, etc....I think it'll be really interesting and I hope I'll get good experience bc i'll be working for a solo practitioner.
i'm leaving my 1st out-of-school job and it's sad, but i've been ready for a while. my boss said it's an end of an era, which was nice, but makes it even more obviously i was here too long.
i'm SO excited and even more excited because now i'll need real professional clothes, suits, heels, etc...i'm now in jeans and a t-shirt at work...real attractive.
This is the 1st job I've ever given notice to....others were summer or internships....so this is a major event. PLUS, i'm moving TOMORROW so it's been a busy week.
I've always enjoyed reading everyone's good news here, so I thought i'd post mine.
If anyone knows anything about women's medical product liability...PLEASE, feel free to pass along any info.
Thanks to everyone who wrote!
Today's my last day!!!! I may be offline for a while trying to figure out the system at the new office. Thanks for your good wishes. off to happy hour!!!!!
Congrats - it sounds really interesting & a great new job. I think it sounds very noble. Good for you for leaving your comfort zone & doing something new!!! Good luck & let us know how it goes.
