i know not many people read this section but if you purchased an ipod this may be useful to you. apple was recently sued b/c of faulty ipod batteries. the suit was settled and if you purchased your ipod before may 31, 2004 and still have it as of june 2, 2005, and your battery failed your eligible for either free battery replacement or a $50 store credit. here's the link to the site
hopefully this will be useful to some of you. i know it will help me, since my battery is all screwed up right now and i've only had it for about 9 months.
I have a mini, and I bought it beg. of June and I hate it because it NEVER keeps battery charge. I will plug it into my computer for hours, it will claim to be finished charging, but the battery lasts about 3 hours total. Something is obviously wrong.
What does this mean? I have a mini, and I bought it beg. of June and I hate it because it NEVER keeps battery charge. I will plug it into my computer for hours, it will claim to be finished charging, but the battery lasts about 3 hours total. Something is obviously wrong. Is that what the recall was about?
i don't think your ipod would qualify, mine didn't. you had to buy it in june. but i've read that the batteries in the mini are not as long lasting as the ones in the big one. and i do think there are still some bad ones floating around. i had that same problem with my mini and eventually the battery just went kaput. if you send it back now, they'll fix it for free (it's free within the first 6 months, and you just have to pay s&h after that, but b/f a year). anyway i have a large one too, and the battery life is like a thousand times better.
