I always wear old stuff - nothing gross, just stuff that's worn or doesn't fit as well (but is still comfortable). But I've started to notice that when I wear nicer clothes, somehow I feel like I'm ready to get stuff done, rather than lounging around, and I'm soo much more productive.
I'm a slob (sort of) when I'm at home. I usually wear a racerback tank, cami or t-shirt with a terry cloth capris, pants or shorts. If I get cold I wear the matching terry cloth zip-up hoodie. My favorite thing to wear, though, during the winter or when the AC is blasting is my big, old beat up Temple University hoodie. I love that thing. I will wear it until it's threadbare.
I feel like I have too many nice things so wear something old and worn so I usually don't. If I am staying home and know I'm not going anywhere I'll usually just wear a pair of jeans or denim skirt with a ribber tank in the summer, or juicy pants with a long sleeved T in the winter. I'm def. more likely to look like a bum in the winter becasue I get really cold and just want to be warm and cozy. But I always try to look at least semi-cute.
I have a very extensive pj collection, mostly capri pants / tanks from places like target...and mostly characters (felix the cat, betty boop, tinkerbell, m&ms) - if i'm not going anywhere, i stay in my pjs - but i am less likely to be productive. I know it's crazy, but i read on a home cleaning kind of website that you should put on tie up shoes on cleaning day because it tells your body it's time to work. I thought that was insane until i tried it - so true!! Can't put my feet on my couch if I have on tennis shoes.
I will put on yoga type pants - i have a couple pair from izod outlet that are SO comfortable & old tees when I am going to exercise at home or want to put on clothes other than my pjs so I can wear my tennis shoes for above reason. Try putting tennis shoes on with your pjs & see just how stupid you feel, even if no one is going to see you!!! LOL (confessions of alone behavior - sorry)

when I get home from work I usually put on a t-shirt and yoga pants or old gym shorts...on weekends I try to get dressed so I am motivated to go do things...but if I know I am going to stay home, it usually is a t-shirt or hoodie and yoga pants or some old track pants..
it depends...over the summer, when I'm home all day, I wear denim minis, or twill shorts, with beaters or T-shirts. When I'm working, I usually wear jeans when I get home (vintage Levis), or if it's really hot, I have sofees knit shorts in like a million colors.

I live alone, too, so it's not unusual for me to strip down and head for the couch and my yummy down throw blanket the second I walk through the door. I also have a gajillion robes and one fab terrycloth wrap that I wear around the house. I dunno, I don't have a lot of typical 'comfy' clothes. My friends always give me hell over it, but whatever. Who cares if I do my laundry wearing a dress and I mop in heels?

MY pj's for half the day and then if I feel like it jeans and a tee. but random people have been stopping by frequently lately so I have been dressing nicer.
i wear a ton of juicy and those cheap, but colorful/sequined/embroidered beaters from all those young girly fun stores. i also have a ton of loungewear from anthro. that is like a rayon/jersey material, and i wear those pants with beaters. they usually start at $68 reg. price and ALWAYS go on sale for $29.99. so comfy and look cute.

During the summer, usually I'll put on something casual but still nice looking. If I'm feeling lazy, then just a tee shirt and some boxers. During the school year, when I get home from school I'll keep on my polo (we wear uniforms) and just wear some of those shorts like halleybird has.

I don't see any point in getting dressed unless I'm leaving the house. If I get dressed to go out and then comeback I'll just take stuff off. Like a blazer, or pants. I'll rarely change. And if I do it's into sweats.

i'm so like this. as much as i love clothes, if no one's going to see me, i don't bother getting dressed. it just means i'll end up doing more laundry. it's been so hot that lately i'll just wear a tank. like if i wore a tank during the day, i just keep wearing that tank at night. when it gets cold i have some ratty eberjay sweats that i wear. actually i have 2 pairs that i bought specifically for wearing around the house, but the first pair got so ratty, i just wear them and save the second pair for when someone's coming over.
It's a coincidence for me that you brought this up. I was thinking about this same thing this weekend. I was at Anthro and saw all this cute loungewear. I don't have anything cute to wear hanging around. I just hang around in old stuff and have to get completely dressed even to just run out to get the mail or have someone come over. Also, if I stay over someone's house, I just get dressed right away. I want to buy some cute lounging around stuff from Anthro, but always opt to spend my money on clothes people will actually see instead.
