Am I the only nerd excited about the new book? I seriously considered waiting with the 10-year-olds at midnight, but preordered from Amazon instead.

I must be a really huge nerd, because I will be going to the bookstore for the party and the midnight debut with my BF. We will both be wearing Gryffindor colors, of course. I was one of the first to sign up for a preorder at the Borders across the street and I want to make SURE I am one of the first to get it. Last time around BF and I were #75...but I want better!


Then I will read as BF and I walk home. I will be reading it on line at the DMV the next morning and I will be reading it while I get my hair done.


I bet you all think I'm crazy now.

I am excited too but I can't get it right now!!! Darn CPA exam!!! Maybe when I'm on my 2 week training trip for work I'll pick it up for the plane and the room.  Let me know if you like it!

I will be doing the midnight thing, no question. My only decision is whether to go to the big box chain book store or the small independant seller. Hmmmmm. Went to the big store last time. So yes, I am exicted, and a nerd, and proud!! We should do some sort of discussion as we go!!

I've never read any of the books, but you girls got me so hyped I may start at the very beginning...what's the name of the first book? (Is it bad that I don't know that?)

i preordered from amazon, but i have to work on saturday, so i asked my friend to hang out at my house and wait for the fedex man to come...

I didn't preorder, the bookstore near me had mountains of HP books when Order of the Phoenix came out.  I can't wait to get it!  I've decided I can't take it w/ me on the Metro though because I would be too tempted to read it at work.

This is so funny - i just got the first book, i've seen 2 of the movies. But yesterday was my anniversary & we weren't doing presents - but my DH went & got me Chamber of secrets because I want the movies & had never seen that one. Good timing.

I started with book 1 in March and had all 5 read by May.  They are great!  Usually you can find them in the library to check out or cheap on half.com or amazon.com.  Definetly start from the beginning though.

count me in too!  i pre-ordered from amazon back in december!!!!  can't wait to get it on saturday...


i think going to the party at the bookstore would be fun, but i don't have anyone to go with and since i pre-ordered i don't really need to go....


anyone have any ideas on who dies in this book????
