I m so tired of the common looking jeans/pants. I love to wear unique looking pants but am afraid that they'd end up looking far out of the box or like I'm wearing a pair of diapers. Any good suggestions out there? I m eyeing these...
I think they could be cool with the right outfit, tougher to pull off if you are curvy though. Especially if they are knit or cotton. In fact, there is NO stretch to this particular pair of pants, so I would be wary and look for some that are modal or have some stretch in them.
Also, they aren't as versatile for the money - I wouldn't wear them to work or any event that is more conservative. If you had a cool concert or artsy event, this look can work - if you find the right pair that are flattering.
Those might be really hard to pull off unless you are a ruler shape. The add volume at the hips and thighs, usually not very flattering if you have any curves.
What about a paperbag waist pair of pants? They are different, but emphasize a tiny waist.

Agreed. I know my life isn't cool enough for these pants. If I was in some sort of artsy community and was a stick-thin model, yeah I could probably wear them. But for the average woman with the average life? I'd have to vote no. I hate to say it but they do have that "diaper" look.

I loathe pants like this and people who wear them. Its basically a look that states "I am so cool that I don't care that I look like I'm wearing Harem pants!"
I'd pass on something diaper-like and go for something with great finishes like rouching or pleating or zippers or whatever turns you on.. just no more MC hammer pants, especially if you have hips.
I really like the first pair of pants Boots posted. I think they're interesting and they look more universally flattering than a lot of paperbag waists.

hmm... idk i'm totally about experimenting with new looks. fashion/style should be fun & trying out new things totally adds to the experience.
i think the oak pants are cool, but i would not pay that much $ for them. have you looked at forever 21? i know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's a good starting point for finding something similar with a better price point.
i also like these from ny&co. which could look really cool if you went up a size or two
