Im in the need for jeans and I dont even know where to start looking. For a great pair im willing to take in the waist, I just want something to make my legs look long/lean without actually being wide leg, more like slight bootcuts that almost look straight- preferably with anonymous pockets
my current go tos are
1) norma kamali for walmart high waist black- $15 and i wear them constantly! really wish i had bought multiple pairs- they were marketed as straight, but have a SLIGHT bootcut 2) really really old seven nyd bootcuts- rigid - no stretch, and they hold me in so nicely 3) really really old jcrew ticket pocket jeans 4) rinse calvin kleins from 1999 that i am soooo glad i kept! (back when ck had no design on the pocket)
any recs ?( no set budget yet) What are your go to, surefire pairs??

I second Levi's. I get them either at Kohl's Junior Dept even that I am almost 30 yr old but they fit me better than women's due to my smaller waist but huge hips. I get the bootcut kind not the trendy ones. I also go to Levi's brick n mortar store. AG Jeans sometimes does it for me. You'd have to try on many to find the one that fits you just right. Its annoying though.
I just went jean shopping and ended up with a pair of True Religions - the basic Joey fit. They are considered flare though so they probably aren't what you are looking for. I found that I couldn't fit into my old standby's - the 7 Dojos as it seems that their rise and cut have changed.
I was having really good luck with Banana Republic jeans. However, they've changed their cuts this year . Might still be worth a shot though. Ann Taylor Loft may be an option, too.

Does that site zafu.com still exist? You answer questions about your shape and your usual style and they make jean recommendations. Some people really like it.
You can always design your own jeans at Indidenim - their prices are reasonable, and if you go through the Myshape website you can use some pretty awesome sale codes (a few are scrolling across the top of the site, ebates has a few, etc). A few fashion bloggers have tried Indiedenim and were happy with their jeans, but I believe if they don't fit when you get them they'll take them back and do them again for you at no additional charge.
