I think Pier 1's prices are pretty reasonable.  If it is of good quality, then that entertainment center is definitly worth $600.  You could pay a whole lot more for the same style armoire.

Are you going to put a TV in it?  From the picture, it doesn't look like the doors roll back, in which case you will only be able to see the TV from dead center.  That's something to think about.

This is true.Other than that I think it is worth $600.

This is something that never accrued to me. I have looked at the cabinet in person and I can't remember for sure, but I don't think the doors rolled back.I will have to go look at it again and check it out. Thanks for the tip.

It looks like it is double-hinged, so the doors flip around to lay flush w/ the sides of the cabinet.  Which is great if you don't have anything else within the door span so you have room to flip them back.  I think it's a nice looking cabinet.

It's nice IRL, but I would make sure it fits the dimensions of your TV because it's a bit more shallow than the rest.  We just got this one:

Camden Entertainment Center

from Pier 1 - as we were looking at all the armoires they had, we saw this (regularly $600, on sale for $500) and noticed that one of the door magnets wasn't working.  We got another 40% off and you can't even see the defect!

My point is, keep your eyes open and stalk your local Pier 1.  What you want is bound to go on sale or you might be able to score a discounted floor model.  FWIW, Pier 1 stuff is usually very good quality IMO.

I have this entertainment center and I love.  People are always thinking it cost more that what I paid for it.  When I went to get it, they only had the one that was out on the floor.  We asked if we could get some sort of discount since it was on display and I think that we got 15% off.  There was nothing wrong with it, so you might try that.  I also have a pretty decent size t.v. in it and it fits great.  I can't remember the exact dimensions off the top of my head...

I love it! I am about to get a house and was looking at the same one for my bedroom. I think you made a good choice!

It is double-hinged so the doors should not be a problem. I am going to get.
