All my programmer friends like hosting.com.  That's where stylethread is going to migrate to in the near future.  Low price and excellent capabilities (Ruby on Rails, mySQL).

I am using hostgator.com and have not had any troubles to date. I signed up with them last April after using anhosting.com (sp?) and there I did have some trouble with the server being down. I also have my domain names at dynonames.com as they are fairly cheap.
