So I was thinking about how everyone's been saying that they're not buying a lot of new stuff right now, and doing more "closet shopping." What would you guys think about starting a thread/section where we post pics of everything we have in our closets, and then people suggest outfits of what we already have? It'd be a pretty huge undertaking for the people putting their closets out there, since they'd need to take like a billion pics. I just know that I get in a major rut and rotate the same few outfits, so it would help me a lot.

Thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea? I'm insane for even coming up with this idea? smile

Well personally I know I couldn't take a picture of everything I have! But I definitely have some pieces that I don't wear as often as I should and I think just asking for feedback on a few select pieces could still be helpful, even if people didn't know the rest of the closet contents. It would at least be brainstorming!

I actually took a picture of a piece I need help with, but I left my card reader at work so I can't post at least until tomorrow!

I follow alot of fashion blogs, and a few people have done capsule wardrobe challenges before.  So it's not their whole closet, but they pick 10 items and have to remix them into XYZ different outfits.  As an offshoot of that, you could do a challenge where you pick one 'troublesome' item and (maybe get help to) style it at least 5 different ways?  Anyway, that kind of stuff always inspires me to play with my own closet, especially if they use an item that I own, too.  It could even be something simple, like a black dress, and then everyone comes up with their own take on it.  I've found that it's also super helpful exercise to have under your belt when packing for a trip! 

I would definitely participate, I just need to figure out a good place to take pics and remember how to use the timer on my camera ....
