In Brits defense - weight gain is different for everyone. Some gain 10 lbs, some gain 50 lbs, and as long as the baby is growing properly it's considered 'normal'.

BUT, I'm a bit turned off by the fact that she purposefully let herself go before/when she was trying to get pregnant. Eating trash and not exercising isn't the most ideal thing to do when you're preparing your body for a pregnancy, or supporting a pregnancy for that matter. Harumph! But I'm sure there are plenty of regular folk that do/look much worse before/during their pregnancies - they just don't have the pleasure of having it captured on film for the world to see!

I just want to clarify that it's not Britney's weight gain or looks that bother me. It's that fact that her boobs are just hanging out (along with her stomach, which is okay, but when paired with boobs, it's just wrong!).

it's not her weight gain either. but i think the picture just shows that she gained a lot of weight. i know all women are different, but for what she has gained (halfway through her pregnancy?) it seems too much. i know that some women gain more, but Brit is increasing her risk for gestational diabetes, etc...

i learned something in nutrition class that i thought was interesting....

baby- 7.5 or more pounds

blood- 3-4 lbs.

breasts- 1-2 lbs.

uterus- 2 lbs.

placenta- 1.5 lbs.

amniotic fluid- 2 lbs.

fat- 7 lbs.

water- 4 lbs.

most women should gain 25-35 pounds throughout their entire pregnancy. that being said, when i'm pregnant, if i gain 60 lbs, lay off me!!!

Well, I can't really comment on her weight gain becaue you better believe that when I get prego I am giving the baby whatever it wants to eat! I am crabby when I diet now, I can't imagine how I'd be when I am pregnant!

My poor hubby doesn't know what's coming! lol
But I CAN say that when I am preggo I will Never wear a shrug as a top and let my boobies hang out like that! Skank city!

i am only offended that she is wearing what appears to be a shrug, which is meant to be worn OVER a top, not as an ACTUAL top all by itself. preg-o or no, i would not be caught dead trying to make that my entire top. yuck--hideous!

sidenote: i actually think that, wardrobe choices aside, she looks very cute and healthy. i don't think she looks overweight for being pregnant, and i think her hair and skin are looking much better. she just needs to hire a stylist and all will be right in her world again.

Haha, I was just about to post in her defense!

If I saw a regular person walking down the street like that I'd be horrified. But Britney is no regular lady and thus the rules do not apply. I think she'd have to be a little bit retarded to put that on and think people were going to love it and what like is that she wore it anyway.
