Ok, - I am getting so many different opinions from work friends that I thought I would throw this out to you all since iPods are a hot topic here:
I want an iPod to run with, to replace my home stereo (I will be getting speakers also), to have easy access to lots of songs, etc, as well as to get rid of the numerous old CDs I have laying around.
I am leaning toward the mini (1500 song cap.) b/c of size, weight and cost. Many people at work have said to go for the big one since its only $50 more, but will I really use 5000 songs at any given time? And, i have these skinny little arms - so if the arm band is already an issue (as indicated in another thread) then wouldn't the big one make it worse?
Please advise! I'd like to purchase today or tomorrow, if possible. Also - forward along any good deals!
I have a green mini and I love it! I originally was going to get a regular, so all of my songs would be on there and I wouldn't have to worry about adding/deleting to fit stuff on (sometimes can be a pain, especially when you really want to listen to a specific song and it's not on there). But then I saw a mini in person and fell in love with it's cuteness I decided that, like you said, I'd never really NEED to have all of my songs on it (I don't know if I'll ever actually have 5000 songs in my possession anyways!)
I've got 1015 songs on my mini right now and I'm perfectly happy with that amount. Doing the editing to get all my faves on there wasn't really that big of a deal either. For your exercising, I think the mini would be better for the size; it is really light and small, so perfect for this type of thing.
So my overall recommendation is for the mini, unless you ARE super concerned with having all of your songs on your iPod.
